QUESTION: How long will the LED lights last using the Li Ion Battery Pack?

 

ANSWER: Approximately 22-26 hours depending on the pulse frequency and brightness intensity settings. If the electric linear actuator is used in conjunction with the LED light strip under normal conditions & use average 5-6 actuations of the safety arm per ride, the Li Ion battery pack will last approximately 18-22 hours.

 

 

QUESTION: What is the weight of the 12V Lithium Ion Battery Pack?

 

ANSWER: 12.28 oz

 

 

QUESTION: What is the weight of the electrically actuated #500E Model, including the yellow Sleeve?

 

ANSWER: 29.2 oz

 

 

QUESTION: What material is used for all the Base Plate models and Support Spar Arms?

 

ANSWER: A special Ultra High Density, very durable polyethylene material which is environmentally stabilized for harsh sun and tough marine environments. This material will not swell, splinter or delaminate when exposed to humidity, or water.

 

 

QUESTION: What is the effective life expectancy of the Linear Actuator used for #500E Model?

 

ANSWER: Based on normal use, approximately 15,000 – 20,000 cycles can be expected.

 

 

QUESTION: What material is used for the Airfoil Safety Sleeve section?

 

ANSWER: A low density, Closed Cell XLPE (Cross link Polyethylene) material is used. Very resistant to UV deterioration, will not absorb water and is less affected by extreme heat.

 

 

QUESTION: What is the best way to clean the Safety Airfoil shaped Sleeve?

 

ANSWER: Use a 10% mixture of DAWN and water with a rag, or soft bristly brush.

 

 

QUESTION: What are the product details and life expectancy of the LED Lights?

 

ANSWER:LED Strip Lights are 0-100% dimmable and are pulse / frequency controllable. 3M adhesive backing for surface mount and carries a IP67 waterproof rating. Operating Life: (static mount) exceeds 50,000 hours.  LED Wing Tip Light: 100% brightness only, but is pulse and frequency controllable.

 

 

QUESTION: What happens if my battery, or the actuator fails for any other reason and the Safety Arm is in the down position? How can I adjust it back to a vertical position, or vice-versa?

 

ANSWER: Should you have an issue with the actuation of the safety arm, remove the bolt at the cylinder / Spar Arm end connection. This will allow you to manually position the safety arm to either the horizontal, or vertical location.

 

 

QUESTION: Can we order a custom length for the Airfoil Poly Sleeve?

 

ANSWER: Yes, we can supply a custom sleeve length from 24” to 32”. However, for maximum visibility and effectiveness, the standard 32” long sleeve is recommended. This will help provide approaching motorists with a dimensional frame of reference for the clearance required to motivate them to provide the 3’ ft. safe passing distance that is the current law in over 30 States.

 

 

QUESTION: About opposite side of road travel in other countries, can “The Lane Saver” be modified to accommodate?

 

ANSWER: Yes, all base plates #300, #500M & #500E are reversible. For the electric actuated #500E model, remove the electric actuator, flip over the #502 base plate and remove the four (4) indent Rivet inserts. Now reinstall (press fit) these same Rivet inserts into the base plate. Remove the #504 support spacer and bridges for actuator, then reinstall on the base plate as a mirror image of original mount configuration. Reposition the #508 Mechanical Stop to opposite side, then mount the actuator Spar Arm.
